Nora and Fabian lives in Germany. A few years before I also did a wedding for their family down here in the Western Cape. I was honoured that their family wanted to use me again for wedding photos.
The couple had the most amazing weather and the winelands really showed off again.
Diamant Estate’s history dates back to the late 17th century, during the period of Dutch colonization. The land was originally part of a larger tract granted to early settlers by the Dutch East India Company.
Over the years, Diamant Estate changed hands several times, with each owner contributing to its development. It was primarily used for agriculture, including vineyards and other crops typical of the Paarl region.
he estate features typical Cape Dutch architecture, characterized by gabled roofs and whitewashed walls. Many of these structures have been preserved or restored, showcasing the historical architectural style.
The Diamant Estate stands as a testament to the historical and cultural development of the Paarl region, reflecting the agricultural, architectural, and social changes that have occurred over the centuries.
