Corporate Headshots for Retail Capital (Now TymeBank) – Woodstock, Cape Town
Retail Capital (now TymeBank) commissioned me to photograph a series of professional corporate headshots at their head office in Woodstock, Cape Town.
The key requirement for this session was to create intentional “negative space” on the right-hand side of each portrait. This strategic composition allows their marketing team to easily add text overlays for campaigns, announcements, and digital advertising — without compromising the professionalism of the image.
Custom Studio Setup for Marketing-Ready Headshots
To achieve this look, we brought in a large 3x3m backdrop system along with a 3m grey seamless paper roll. The wider setup ensured we could frame each subject correctly while maintaining clean composition and consistent spacing for design purposes.
Lighting played a crucial role in delivering polished results. A five-point lighting setup helped sculpt flattering, dimensional portraits while maintaining a clean corporate aesthetic. Combined with guided posing and expression coaching, we were able to capture confident, approachable images that align with a modern financial brand.
