Yes this happened! (He did arrange it beforehand)
While we were doing a family shoot at Blouberg, He took her to one side for some couple shots and then proposed!

We had a very misty day but they were visiting Cape Town and we couldn’t postpone.

A proposal photography shoot, often referred to as a “proposal photo session” or “proposal photography,” is a planned photographic event that captures the moment when one person proposes marriage to their partner. It involves a photographer discreetly or, in some cases, openly documenting the proposal as it unfolds. The primary goal is to preserve the genuine, emotional reactions and expressions of both the person proposing and the one being proposed to during this significant and heartfelt moment.

Here’s how a proposal photography shoot typically works:

  1. Planning: The person planning the proposal (the proposer) often contacts a professional photographer in advance to arrange the photo shoot. They may share details about the proposal location, timing, and any specific shots or angles they want to capture.

  2. Location Selection: The proposer selects a picturesque or meaningful location for the proposal. This could be a scenic park, a romantic beach, a historic landmark, or any place that holds significance for the couple.

  3. Coordination: The photographer and proposer coordinate the logistics, including the photographer’s positioning, timing, and any signals or cues to ensure they capture the moment without alerting the person being proposed to (the proposee).

  4. Capture: On the day of the proposal, the photographer discreetly captures images or, in some cases, records video as the proposer goes down on one knee and asks the question. They also capture the emotional reactions and interactions between the couple.

  5. Engagement Session: After the proposal, some couples choose to have an engagement photo session, where they pose for romantic and celebratory photos in the same location or nearby.

  6. Editing and Delivery: The photographer typically edits the photos to enhance their quality and may provide the images to the couple in a digital format or as prints.

Proposal photography shoots have become increasingly popular as couples seek to capture and cherish the genuine emotions and memories of this pivotal moment in their relationship. It allows them to relive the proposal and share it with friends and family, often through social media or as part of their wedding preparations.
