Niël and Wendy had their beach themed wedding at Ons Huisie in Blouberg Strand. The two of them balance each other beautifully and was my privilege to witness and capture their special day. We were very lucky to get a pretty amazing sunset.
It was my first wedding where I used my brand new toy the Profoto B1 and I am so happy with the final product!
How did you guys meet?
We met online in December 2012. We chatted a while and our first official meeting 6 January 2013 at church where we went for coffee afterwards. We went on a few dates and Niël asked me to be his girlfriend on the 11th of January.

Some Trivia:
We like to pack lunch or dinner and go up with the cable car and enjoy it on Table Mountain. Lunch/dinner with a view. (We have the yearly cards.) We like hiking – mostly Lion’s head. This is also where Niël asked me to marry him. We took our puppy on her first hike and he used her leash to “foefie”slide the ring to me as I was holding her.
Any wedding tips for future Wedding couples?
From a bride’ s perspective: be comfortable in what you wear, your make-up, hair, accessories etc. It is your day and your choices. If you don’t want a gardener or big bouquet, then it is fine. The day is about you and your husband sharing it with friends and family. Also, remember to include your husband-to-be in the decisions. Men do have nice ideas. Regarding their clothes: know him and his limits. If he is not comfortable in his clothes, then he will appear uncomfortable. Last thing: you can do many things yourself and cut budget wise on many things, but the one thing you need to be happy with, is your photographer. You and your husband-to-be must be happy with his/her style and feel comfortable to move, smile, listen and enjoy the photo sessions. And of course, you must be able to trust the photographer in order to get the best photographs to capture your wedding day.
