Wedding Tips: The timeline
If there is one thing that separates a relaxed wedding day from a stressful one, it is the timeline. Get this right and everything else tends to fall into place. Here is how I help my couples build one that actually works.
Build it around the light
The best photographs happen in the soft hour before sunset, so we plan your couple shoot for then whenever we possibly can. Tell me your ceremony time and your sunset time and I will help you slot everything else around that golden window. A little planning here is worth more than any amount of editing afterwards.
Pad it, then pad it again
Everything takes longer than you think — hair runs over, the bus gets lost, the family group needs five more minutes. Build a buffer of fifteen or twenty minutes into each block and you will glide through the day instead of chasing it. Remember the rough maths: about a minute per group shot, and a comfortable hour for your couple shoot.
We will build your timeline together when you book a consultation. In the meantime, browse more wedding tips or see real days in my wedding portfolio.
