Capturing Family Moments at the Cape Grace Hotel & V&A Waterfront
There’s something truly special about capturing family portraits against the backdrop of Cape Town’s most iconic landmarks. Recently, I had the pleasure of photographing a wonderful family at the beautiful Cape Grace Hotel, perfectly situated in the heart of the V&A Waterfront.
Although we weren’t able to photograph inside the hotel’s main interior spaces, we made full use of their elegant hotel suite and the breathtaking surroundings just outside. The Cape Grace’s classic façade, combined with the vibrant marina and mountain views, created a timeless and sophisticated setting for their session.
This particular shoot was extra meaningful as we celebrated a milestone birthday for mom. We captured heartfelt moments filled with laughter, connection, and genuine joy. From sweet portraits of dad with the kids to special images including extended family members — especially her sister — the session was a beautiful reminder of how important it is to preserve these seasons of life.
