Corporate Events Across the Western Cape — Project Roundup
Five corporate events photographed across the Western Cape — Waterfront year-end functions, brand launches, awards ceremonies and wine-estate events — and what each shoot asked of the brief.
A working record of recent commercial, headshot and event shoots — most of them across Cape Town, Stellenbosch, Durbanville and the wider Western Cape. New projects are added as they’re delivered. If you’d like to see something specific I’ve worked on for your industry, get in touch and I’ll send a more focused selection.

Most photographers’ portfolios show their best ten frames from the last five years. Useful, but it doesn’t tell you what someone like me is actually shooting day to day.
This page is the other half of the story — recent commercial shoots, headshots, and events as they get delivered. It gives you a sense of pace, range, and the kinds of briefs I’m running across right now. If you’re scoping a similar project, scroll through the latest posts; chances are you’ll find something close enough to use as a reference point.
What you won’t see here: the unedited frames. Every commercial shoot produces images I’d rather not show — flat light, blinking subjects, the third take of small talk at an awards evening. The dedicated portfolio pages elsewhere on the site are the curated “best work” view. This commercial photography projects page is closer to a working diary — what the brief actually was, what the shoot day looked like, and what came out the other end after editing.

Six corporate and executive headshot projects from across Cape Town — CEO portraits for magazines, team headshots for company websites, and estate agent sets — and what each session asked of the brief.

Four commercial photography projects across the Western Cape — industrial, architectural, coffee brand and product work — and what each shoot taught me about answering the brief.

How often do you publish new project posts?
New posts go up as projects clear final delivery — usually 1-3 posts a month for commercial work. Wedding and family work lives elsewhere on the site.
What sectors do these projects cover?
Commercial photography across Cape Town and the Western Cape — corporate headshots, conferences and events, products, architecture, and the nine industry pillars I specialise in (office, medical, industrial, energy, agriculture and wine, tourism, non-profit, retail, transport and logistics).
Can I see formal case studies with budgets and outcomes?
Not on this page. Formal case studies with briefs, scope and outcomes are something I’m building separately. For now this is the informal record. If you’d like me to walk you through a specific past project — what was shot, how long, what was delivered — get in touch and I’ll do that on a call.
Do you publish every project you shoot?
No. A lot of commercial work is published with the client’s permission only, and some sectors (medical, internal corporate) stay private by default. What you see here is roughly the share that’s been cleared for public use.
Where in the Western Cape have most of these projects taken place?
Most projects are within an hour of Durbanville — the Northern Suburbs, Cape Town CBD, Stellenbosch, Paarl, Somerset West, Franschhoek and the Southern Suburbs. National travel for industrial and energy projects is quoted per brief.
How do I commission similar work?
The fastest route is the enquiry form on the pricing page — it captures the brief and travel zone in one pass. Or email info@riekertcloete.com directly and I’ll come back within a working day.
