Projects further afield — Paarl, Stellenbosch, Somerset West, and anywhere in the Western Cape — are standard. I also travel nationally for larger briefs: Johannesburg, Durban, and other major centres. International assignments are considered on a case-by-case basis. Travel costs within Greater Cape Town are a flat fee included in the quote. For shoots outside the metro, travel and accommodation are quoted transparently before you commit — no hidden charges. The advantage of on-location work is that the images reflect your real environment, which is far more authentic than studio alternatives for most commercial briefs.

Commercial shoots with RC Photography are typically booked 2–4 weeks in advance, which gives enough time for a pre-production call, location planning, and any styling or prop coordination. Peak periods — particularly Q4 (October through December) and the start of Q1 — fill up faster, so earlier booking is recommended during those months. That said, I do accommodate urgent and last-minute requests when my diary allows; corporate headshot sessions and quick brand shoots can often be slotted in within a few days if the brief is straightforward. Once a date is confirmed and a 50% deposit is received, it's locked in.

Standard delivery for commercial photography by Riekert Cloete is 72 hours from the date of the shoot. You receive the full gallery via a digital download link — two folders: high-resolution originals suitable for print and large-format use, and a second set of 1500px social-optimised JPGs ready for LinkedIn, Instagram, and website use. There is no cap on the number of images delivered; every usable frame from the shoot is professionally edited and included. For time-sensitive projects — product launches, press releases, or campaign deadlines — flag the deadline at the briefing stage and I will prioritise accordingly. A same-day social edit add-on is also available: a curated selection of 15–20 images edited and delivered before end of day, so your marketing team can post while the shoot is still fresh.

However, if an emergency were to prevent attendance, the protocol is straightforward: you would be notified immediately, and I would either arrange a trusted replacement photographer whose work I can vouch for, or reschedule the shoot to a date that works for your team — at no additional cost where possible. The replacement would be briefed fully on the original scope, so the output remains consistent with what was agreed. Cancellation terms are set out in the booking confirmation email, and both parties have the option to reschedule with reasonable notice.
