October to April is peak season — southern hemisphere summer, stable weather, and the best outdoor light. Cape Town in winter is quieter, moodier, and the locations are less crowded.
When to shoot
Always golden hour — the 2 hours before sunset, or sunrise if you're up for it. Avoid midday; the light is flat and the wind picks up on the coast (Camps Bay and Bloubergstrand).
Booking in advance
Three to four weeks is usually fine. Peak season (November to January) fills 2–3 months out. Already here and need something this week? Ask — if there's a slot, it's yours.

What to wear
Coordinated colours work better than matching outfits. Avoid strong logos or text on clothing. Each zone page has more specific outfit notes for that location's backdrop.
