Wedding Planners & Co-ordinators
Nicolette Weddings
I’ve been shooting Nicci’s weddings since 2012. She runs a tight ship — every timeline is thought through, every supplier briefed, and her couples arrive on the day calm and excited. If you want a planner who makes a wedding feel effortless, she’s at the top of my list.
Worked together at: Kleinevalleij, Forest 44, and more
Avant Garde Events
I’ve worked alongside Avant Garde at venues across the Winelands for close to a decade. Their function sheets are meticulous, the day runs exactly as planned, and they’re one of the first names I give to couples asking for a planner recommendation.
Worked together at: Morgansvlei (Rochelle & Zein, 2017)
Kelz & Co.
Lauren coordinates with the kind of precision that makes a photographer’s job a pleasure. She sends thorough vendor briefs, keeps the day on schedule, and her eye for detail translates directly into better photographs.
Worked together at: Nooitgedacht Estate (Christelle & Chris, 2020)
Nearest & Dearest Events
Jenny Nicholls and Tessa Talmage run a bespoke co-ordination service for couples who want someone to handle every detail without losing the personal touch. Warm, organised, and genuinely invested in your day.

Worked together at: 12 Apostles Hotel, Franschhoek venues
Runaway Romance
Louise specialises in elopements and intimate weddings — and she’s also a registered Marriage Officer, which means she can plan the day and officiate it. If you’re considering a small, meaningful ceremony in the Cape, she’s exactly who to call.
Worked together at: Franschhoek (Kristina & Matt, 2018)
Trunk Events
Tracy and the Trunk team handle everything from wedding planning and event management to décor and styling. We worked together at The Conservatory in Franschhoek — an exceptional venue, brilliantly co-ordinated.

Shireen Onia Events
A Cape Town-based planner with a strong track record across multicultural and contemporary weddings. Calm under pressure, thorough in preparation, and easy to work with on the day.

Worked together at: Salene Devon Valley & Cavalli, 2023

Worked together at: La Cle Country House, Franschhoek, 2018
KapEvent
Christiane specialises in German-speaking and destination couples getting married in the Cape — a niche that requires a very particular set of translation, logistics, and cultural skills. If your guests are flying in from Europe, she’s an excellent option.
Worked together at: Boschendal & Franschhoek weddings, 2021
Venues
401 Rozendal
A converted Victorian farmstead in Stellenbosch that photographs like a dream. Exposed brick, candlelight, mature oaks — 401 Rozendal has a texture and warmth that’s genuinely rare in the Winelands.
Worked together at: Nicola & Rudy’s wedding, 2017
Nooitgedacht Estate
One of Stellenbosch’s most elegant wine estates. The mountain backdrop, whitewashed homestead and manicured grounds make it one of the most photogenic venues I’ve worked at.
Worked together at: Christelle & Chris, 2020
12 Apostles Hotel & Spa
One of the most dramatic settings on the Cape Peninsula — a boutique hotel wedged between the Twelve Apostles mountain range and the Atlantic Ocean. Ceremony locations with this kind of backdrop are rare. The team is experienced, professional, and the hotel itself is exceptional.
Worked together at: multiple ceremonies and receptions, 2016–2022
Brenaissance Wine & Stud Estate
A working wine and equestrian estate in Stellenbosch with one of the most versatile venue setups in the Winelands. The chapel, the cellar, the rose garden — each photographs differently and beautifully.
Worked together at: Brenaissance chapel & cellar
Tokara
Perched on the Helshoogte Pass between Stellenbosch and Franschhoek, Tokara's views across the Winelands are as good as it gets. The architecture is contemporary, the wines are excellent, and it's one of those venues where you can feel the luxury without it being showy.
Asara Wine Estate & Hotel
A grand Stellenbosch estate with its own hotel, several function venues and manicured grounds that lend themselves to both intimate celebrations and large receptions. I've photographed here multiple times — it never disappoints.
Koelenhof Winery
A boutique wine estate just outside Stellenbosch with a stunning whitewashed cellar and sprawling lawns. Intimate, characterful, and less visited than the bigger estates — which means more flexibility and a different kind of atmosphere.
The Conservatory, Franschhoek
A greenhouse-style venue at Grande Provence that creates something genuinely otherworldly — candlelight filtering through glass, suspended floral installations, garden views. I've been here on evenings that looked more like editorial shoots than weddings.
Worked together at: Christene & Harry, 2020
Knorhoek Estate
A smaller wine estate in the Knorhoek Valley (Stellenbosch) that's been a hidden gem for couples wanting a more private, countryside feel. The old barn and terraced gardens photograph beautifully in golden hour light.
Morgansvlei Private Country Estate
A private estate near Botrivier (Overberg) that offers total exclusivity — you buy out the entire property. No other events, no shared spaces, just your group and a seriously beautiful landscape. The perfect fit for couples who want real privacy.
Worked together at: Rochelle & Zein's wedding, 2017
Silver Forest Estate
Nestled in the Silver Forest above Constantia, this estate is one of Cape Town's best-kept secrets — enormous silver trees, a forest ceremony clearing, and a chapel that catches the light perfectly in the late afternoon.
Mountain Shadows
Set against the Helderberg mountain range in Somerset West with panoramic views and beautiful grounds. A well-run venue with a comfortable, established team — one of those places where things simply work.
Hair & Makeup Artists
Iza Cloete
Iza is a professional bridal makeup artist based in Durbanville and the Cape Winelands — she's also my wife, which means I've watched her work at close range for many years. Natural, skin-first looks that photograph honestly and last all day. Couples who book us both get a team that already knows how to work together.
San Marie
A full hair and makeup team that I've worked alongside at venues across the Winelands. Calm in a bridal suite, fast when time is tight, and the results hold up through a full wedding day — including in photographs.
Cecilia Fourie
A highly experienced bridal artist whose work I've admired on many wedding days. She brings a classical sensibility to her looks — clean lines, natural skin, effortless elegance. One of the most consistent artists I've seen.
Makeup by Lauren
Lauren's style is warm and bride-led — she starts by understanding exactly what you're hoping to see, then delivers it. The result photographs beautifully in both natural light and flash.
Mia's Makeup
I've worked with Mia on a number of weddings across the Cape and she brings genuine calm to a bridal suite. Her finishing is excellent — the kind of work that holds up through a full day of emotions and a changing Cape Town light.
Mist Make Up
A Cape Town-based bridal team with a clean, editorial aesthetic. If you're looking for a more modern, fashion-forward bridal look rather than a traditional one, Mist are worth a conversation.
Mr & Mrs M
A hair and makeup duo who specialise in weddings and work well as a team. I've photographed their work at venues in Stellenbosch and Franschhoek — always polished, always relaxed in the bridal suite.
Florists
Bouwer Flowers
One of the most recognisable names in Cape wedding florals. I've worked alongside Bouwer at large Winelands weddings and their installations are genuinely spectacular — particularly suspended arrangements and large ceremony arches. A full-scale studio with real creative depth.
Duke & Duchess
An established Cape Town florist with a strong portfolio across weddings, events and styling. Their work leans towards lush, romantic arrangements — exactly what photographs well in natural light in the Winelands.
Mint & Magnolia
A boutique florist with a natural, garden-inspired aesthetic that suits outdoor Winelands weddings particularly well. Their arrangements feel plucked from the garden rather than designed — in the best possible way.
Prickly Pear
Based in Cape Town with a style that's relaxed and textured — dried grasses, succulents, foliage-forward arrangements. If you're after something less traditional and more bohemian, Prickly Pear is a natural fit.
Die Gieter
A smaller, artisan florist based in the Winelands area. Their work has a handcrafted, wildflower quality that suits farm-style and estate venues beautifully. I've photographed their arrangements at Stellenbosch weddings and always found them to have excellent depth and texture.
Opulence Flowers
A luxury Cape Town florist for couples who want bold, statement florals. Grand ceremony arches, dramatic table runners, oversized centrepieces — Opulence is the right call when scale matters and budget is less of a constraint.
Décor & Hire
Urban Tonic
An award-winning Cape Town décor and events company with a large hire inventory and genuine creative flair. We've worked together at weddings that ranged from intimate farmhouse dinners to large estate celebrations — their execution is always clean and considered.
Cherri Hire
A Cape Town décor hire company with a warm, vintage-influenced aesthetic — think mismatched crockery, copper lanterns, wooden farm tables. For couples after a softer, relaxed look rather than a formal reception, Cherri Hire is consistently reliable.
Quirky Parties
A hire company that does things a little differently — unusual furniture, bold colour choices, unconventional centrepieces. If you're not interested in the standard white-and-gold reception look, Quirky Parties is worth a conversation.
Grand Style Hiring
One of the largest décor and linen hire operations in the Cape. Their inventory is extensive — covers everything from chair covers and linen to full marquee setups. A practical, professional outfit that delivers reliably at scale.
Downings Hire
A long-established Cape event hire company with a comprehensive inventory and a solid reputation across wedding and corporate events. Good value at higher volume, and their logistics operation is reliable — equipment arrives on time, in the right quantities.
OhMyGosh Productions
A full-service décor, event production and styling company based in Cape Town. They handle everything from concept through to setup — useful for couples who don't want to co-ordinate multiple suppliers separately.
Catering
Zest Catering
A well-established Cape Town catering company with a strong track record across weddings and events. Menu variety is good, service on the day is professional, and they're reliable at larger guest counts — which matters when you're feeding 150 people in a marquee in the middle of nowhere.
Laura Truter Catering
Laura runs a boutique catering operation known for quality, seasonal menus and serious attention to presentation. Her food looks as good as it tastes — important when you're feeding guests at a wedding where everything gets documented.
Two Chefs Catering
A professional catering duo who produce high-quality food for weddings and private events. The cooking is confident, the presentation is clean, and they work well within the rhythms of a wedding day — which not all caterers do.
West Staff Services
A Cape Town staffing and service company that supplies professional waitrons, bar staff, and event personnel. Essential for couples bringing in their own catering or drinks — a well-run service team makes the whole day run smoother.
Extreem Kwizeen
A Western Cape catering company with a wide menu offering and good experience at Winelands venues. They've catered at weddings I've photographed in Stellenbosch and surrounding areas — efficient, professional, and the food has always been well received.
Stationery & Invitations
Fleur Design Studio
A Cape Town-based stationery studio producing bespoke, hand-crafted wedding invitations and day-of stationery. The detail in their work is worth photographing as part of the getting-ready coverage — well-designed stationery adds to the overall story of the day.
Little Works
A boutique stationery studio with a clean, minimalist aesthetic. Menu cards, table numbers, order of service — all done with the same care as the invitations. Great for couples who want their visual identity to be consistent throughout the day.
Secret Diary Designs
A Cape-based wedding stationery specialist with a warm, romantic style. They handle everything from save-the-dates through to menus and thank-you cards, and their couples are always well-briefed on what they'll receive and when.
Blooming Wonderful
A stationery and gifting studio with a nature-inspired aesthetic. Pressed flowers, botanical prints, handwritten calligraphy — their work suits outdoor and garden weddings particularly well. Worth a look if you're drawn to softer, textured visual styles.
Lighting & AV
EC Lightings
I've worked alongside EC Lightings at estate weddings across Stellenbosch and Franschhoek. Their fairy-light canopy installations are particularly impressive — the kind of setup that transforms an outdoor reception space and makes every photograph look better. Professional, efficient, reliable.
Sound FX
A Cape Town AV and sound company that handles PA systems, ceremony sound and reception audio for weddings and events. The team is experienced at Winelands venues, knows how to position speakers without cluttering the visual, and delivers consistently clear sound.
Lemon Square Productions
An event production company covering lighting, sound and AV for weddings and corporate events in the Cape. They work well at larger venues where full production is needed — I've photographed at events where they've transformed a plain tent into something genuinely spectacular.
Wedding Cakes
Wade's Cakes
Wade is one of the most talented cake artists in the Cape — his work ranges from classic tiered designs to structural sculptures that look like they belong in a gallery. The taste matches the appearance, which isn't always the case. He's worked at some of the most ambitious weddings I've photographed.
Velvet Cake Company
A premium Cape Town cake studio producing beautiful, detailed wedding cakes. Their fondant work is precise and their flavour combinations are genuinely creative. A popular choice for couples who want a statement cake.
Delana's Cakes
Delana produces beautiful custom wedding cakes from her studio, with a style that leans towards textured buttercream, pressed flowers and organic shapes. A good fit for couples who want something that looks naturally beautiful rather than formally architectural.
Cookie Monster
Don't let the name fool you — Cookie Monster produces exquisite custom cookies and sweet tables that add a personal, photogenic touch to the reception. Monogrammed cookies, venue-themed biscuits, favour boxes — guests love them and they photograph beautifully.
DJ & Music
Dave Ward
One of the best wedding DJs I've worked with in Cape Town. Dave reads a room well — he knows when to build, when to hold back, and how to move a dance floor through a full evening without it feeling engineered. Great communication before the day, calm and professional on the night.
Trilogy Music
Trilogy offer both live music and DJ services — string duos for the ceremony, acoustic sets for cocktails, full DJ for the reception. The ability to book multiple elements through one company simplifies the planning considerably, and their musicians are genuinely excellent.
Zest Music
A Cape Town music booking agency covering DJs, live bands, ceremony musicians and entertainment acts. Good if you want a broader menu of options in one place, or if you need a particular sound or style that's harder to find through a single-artist search.
Event Music Solutions
A professional DJ and sound company covering weddings and events in the Cape. They bring their own quality equipment, set up early, and their DJs are experienced at reading a wedding audience — not the same thing as a club audience.
DJ Dean
An experienced Cape wedding and events DJ with a well-deserved reputation on the circuit. Dean is reliable, well-prepared, and consistently creates a great dance floor atmosphere. One of those suppliers where you know what you're getting — and that's a good thing.
Legacy of Sound
A Cape Town DJ and sound production company that works across weddings, corporate events and private functions. They bring a polished, professional approach to setup and presentation, and their DJs have strong technical knowledge of venue acoustics.
Entertainment
Fire Tribe
Fire Tribe provide fire dance and performance entertainment for weddings and events. I've photographed their performances at Winelands estate weddings — they're spectacular as an after-dinner surprise, and they know exactly how to work with photographers and guests.
Photo Booth Inc.
A Cape Town photo booth hire company with a range of modern setups — from open-air booths to enclosed vintage-style cabinets. Guests love them, they're always positioned where they add to the party rather than interfere with the photography, and the prints make great guest favours.
Black Ball
An entertainment and games hire company with a selection of lawn games, casino tables and interactive installations for cocktail hours and receptions. Particularly good for international couples bringing guests who need something to do during the cocktail hour gap.
Videographers
MW Productions
Michael Warwick runs a boutique video production company covering weddings and events across the Cape. His films are well-paced, beautifully edited, and — importantly — he and I have developed an understanding of how to work the same space without getting in each other's way.
Cape Town Wedding Videos
A dedicated wedding video company in Cape Town with a strong portfolio of Winelands and city weddings. Their shooting style works well alongside photography — they prioritise storytelling over spectacle, which means the footage and the stills tell complementary rather than competing stories.
White Motions Films
A premium wedding film studio producing cinematic wedding films with strong narrative structure. Their work is well-suited to international couples who want a film they'll actually watch again — it's made for the couple, not for social media.
Celebrants & Marriage Officers
Wildflower Weddings
Louise Fourie is a Marriage Officer who specialises in personalised, non-religious ceremonies. She takes the time to understand the couple, writes a ceremony that actually sounds like them, and delivers it with warmth and presence. If you've been to a wedding where the ceremony felt genuinely moving, there's a good chance someone like Louise was behind it.
I Do Weddings
A Cape-based Marriage Officer with a warm, relaxed style that works particularly well for intimate ceremonies. She's thorough in preparation, clear on legalities, and brings a personal touch to what is — legally speaking — a fairly formal process.
John de Beer
John is a respected Marriage Officer with years of experience officiating at Cape wedding venues. He brings a formal but warm presence to the ceremony, handles multilingual ceremonies with ease, and is particularly good at putting nervous couples at ease before they walk in.
Transport
Cape Rolls
A Cape Town luxury car hire company offering Rolls-Royce and other prestige vehicles for wedding transport. I've photographed wedding cars for years — a beautiful vehicle adds something to the getting-ready and departure shots that no amount of Photoshop can replicate.
Vintage Van
A Cape Town-based vintage VW Kombi hire service for weddings, photo shoots and events. The Kombis are beautifully restored and make a fantastic prop for portraits — they also photograph exceptionally well at Winelands locations.
Classic Cats
Wedding and special event transport specialising in classic and vintage cars. Their fleet covers everything from 1950s American classics to British sports cars — for couples who want transport that's part of the story rather than just functional.
Helicopters Cape Town
For couples who want to arrive (or depart) in style — or who need a stunning aerial perspective. I've been on helicopter shoots over the Cape Peninsula and the Winelands, and there is genuinely no substitute for the view. Grand Finale transfers to a private location are a speciality.
Bridal Wear
Alana van Heerden
Alana is one of South Africa's most celebrated bridal designers, and for good reason. Her gowns are made in her Cape Town atelier and combine exceptional craftsmanship with a distinctly South African aesthetic — clean, elegant, beautifully constructed. I've photographed her gowns many times and they are always worth the investment.
Ilse Roux Bridal
Based in Stellenbosch, Ilse designs and makes bespoke bridal gowns with a romantic, feminine aesthetic. Her designs lean towards lace, soft draping and feminine silhouettes — and they photograph beautifully in natural light at Winelands venues.
Proposals
Perfect Proposals
Cape Town's dedicated proposal planning specialists. They handle everything — location scouting, florals, champagne, timing — and often book a photographer as part of the package. I've worked with them on surprise proposals across the Cape Peninsula and Winelands. If you're planning to pop the question and you want it done properly, this is where to start.
Micato Proposals
A boutique proposal planning service creating personalised, meaningful moments across Cape Town and the Winelands. They specialise in surprise proposals and work closely with photographers to capture the moment — the kind of co-ordination that makes the difference between a great photograph and a blurred snapshot.
