Add-Ons

Add What Matters to Your Wedding

Not every wedding needs the same things. These are optional additions — not things you need to bolt onto a package simply because they exist. If you’re unsure what would genuinely add value to your wedding, ask me. I’d rather tell you that you don’t need something than sell you an extra that makes no difference to your day.

Wedding Albums

Wedding Photography Add-Ons

A few optional extras that some couples add to their wedding package. None are required. All are worth knowing about.

STorybook

Coffee Table Book

From R6,500

The finished version of the story — something that lives in your home rather than on a hard drive.

  • Professionally printed lay-flat album
  • Designed by Riekert, approved by you before print
  • Multiple size options
  • Delivered to your door

Finished albums normally take about 8 weeks.

Second Photographer

Typically ~R8,000

Quoted according to who’s booked. Makes sense when important parts of the wedding happen at the same time.

  • Bride and groom prep at different locations
  • Split-location wedding days
  • Large guest lists or complex logistics

Already included in the 12-hour Bells & Whistles package.

Additional Coverage

R2,500/hr

The timeline changes, or you want more of the party photographed. For packages of 6 hours or longer.

  • Extend coverage on the day
  • Decide once your timeline is clearer

Drone Coverage

R1,500 add-on

A different view of the place you chose to get married — particularly at venues where the landscape is part of the reason.

  • Included free in Bells & Whistles
  • Subject to weather, wind, venue permission, airspace and legal requirements

Never guaranteed — conditions on the day decide.

Wedding Highlight Film

Coming soon

A short film that takes you back to the wedding — without turning the day into a full-scale video production.

  • Currently in development
  • Details still being refined

Which Extras Are Right For You?

Coffee Table Book

Recommended for any couple who wants a physical heirloom. Digital files are forever, but a printed album on the coffee table is what your children and grandchildren will actually hold.

Second Photographer

Useful when important things happen simultaneously, locations are split, or the scale and logistics of the wedding justify broader coverage. Not always necessary for intimate weddings or elopements.

Additional Coverage

Useful when the timeline needs more breathing room, or when you want photography to start earlier or continue further into the reception.

Drone

Most valuable when the venue, landscape or setting adds something meaningful from the air — subject to flying conditions and permissions.

Wedding Highlight Film

For couples who want a short moving record of the wedding alongside the photographs. Currently in development.

You Don’t Need Every Extra

The point of this page isn’t to turn a wedding package into a shopping trolley.

Some weddings benefit enormously from a second photographer. Others don’t need one. Some venues look extraordinary from the air. At others, a drone adds very little. An album may matter deeply to one couple and not at all to another.

Once we understand your wedding and your priorities, I can help you work out what genuinely adds value — and what doesn’t.
