Most proposals happen where you are already headed to celebrate — a wine farm, a favourite restaurant, or a view that means something to the two of you. I am happy to work wherever you have in mind — travel is included within Cape Town CBD, the beaches, Stellenbosch, Paarl and Franschhoek, and locations further out, such as Kommetjie, carry a R500 travel surcharge. And if you are not sure, I have a few go-to spots I know are beautiful and safe, and I will gladly suggest them.

How much does a proposal photographer cost in Cape Town?
A proposal photography session is R4,000 for 60 minutes, with travel included within Cape Town CBD, the beaches, Stellenbosch, Paarl and Franschhoek. Locations further out, such as Kommetjie, carry an extra R500 travel charge. Optional add-ons include sparkling wine, glasses and ice for R500, raw video clips for R500, and an edited 1-minute highlight reel for R2,500.
Will she know there is a photographer?
No. I arrive early, position myself at a distance, and shoot with a long lens. We agree on a cover story beforehand, and I stay completely hidden until the moment has happened. Most partners only realise I was there when they see the photos.
Where are the best places to propose in Cape Town?
Popular proposal spots include wine estates in Stellenbosch and Franschhoek, Table Mountain, Lion's Head at sunset, the Twelve Apostles, Camps Bay, Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden, and Signal Hill. I'm happy to suggest locations based on what feels right for the two of you — whether it's a scenic overlook or a quiet garden.
