Your LinkedIn photo arrives before you do
In Cape Town's professional market — financial services, law, property, technology — your profile photo is the first impression a client, employer, or investor has of you. It is seen at thumbnail size, in a feed or a search result, before it is ever seen at full size.
Most professionals are working with a cropped phone photo or a headshot from five years ago that no longer looks like them. That gap shows. A session at my Durbanville studio, or on-location at your office, produces an image that reflects who you are now — and works across every platform your name appears on.
LinkedIn Headshots at the Studio — What We Shoot
Every headshot on this page was shot right here at my home studio in Durbanville — so what you see is exactly what you'll get. Sessions run about 20 to 30 minutes, they're relaxed, and I handle the lighting, posing and styling so you walk away with images you're genuinely happy to put your name to. Below is what we can shoot in your session, then exactly how the whole thing works.
Included in every session
Classic grey — the default, most popular
What most people come for. By adjusting the lighting I can take the grey from deep charcoal to near-white — tailored to suit you. Two-thirds of clients shoot on grey, and it's included in every session.
Optional — time permitting
Indoor lifestyle — warmer, less formal
A living-room setup with a softly blurred background — warmer and more relaxed than studio grey. Good if you want variety, or if your brand leans more approachable.
Optional — time permitting
Outdoor natural — greenery, natural light
Natural greenery with controlled lighting for a soft outdoor feel. A distinct option if your brand leans that way — stands apart from the studio look.
How the setups work together
- • Grey is always included and is the focus of every session.
- • Depending on your package and the time we have, we can add one of the other setups — or in a larger session, work through more.
- • Occasionally clients skip grey entirely for something different — that's fine too — but grey is what most people need and it's where I'd suggest starting.
Outfit changes
I'm very open to outfit changes — variety is a good thing, and the more we capture, the more you have to choose from. A typical session covers one or two shirts and possibly adding a jacket. If you'd like multiple outfit changes, we just need to book a slightly bigger package so we've got the time to do it properly.
You'll choose your two final images from the session, and there's always the option to add extra images or other add-ons if you'd like more.

How It Works — Your Headshot Session, Step by Step
Before the day
- 1Browse and decideHave a look through the portfolio and pricing to get a feel for the look and what's included.
- 2Enquire about availabilityGet in touch to check open slots and confirm pricing. We'll have a quick chat about what you're after so the session suits you.
- 3Booking confirmationI'll send you a confirmation email with your time slot so you can lock it into your diary.
- 4Location and accessYou'll get a location pin and a security code for getting in on the day.
- 5Prep guideA short guidance page on clothing and how to prepare, so you arrive ready and relaxed.
On the day
- 1Meet and briefWhen you arrive, we sit down for a few minutes to run through exactly what you want from the session.
- 2Finalise the lightingI'll have you seated and tweak the lighting for your specific look and situation.
- 3Mirror checkYou'll have a moment at the mirror to make sure your clothing sits right and your hair's how you want it.
- 4The sessionWe get started — I'll guide you on posing and expressions, and help fix the clothing if I spot anything off. We aim for a good variety of shots.
- 5Outfit changeIf you're doing an outfit change, that happens in the middle of the shoot.
- 6Wrap upOnce we're done shooting, I'll take it from here — edited images delivered within 2–3 days.
After the day
- 1Preview galleryI work through the images and send you all usable shots in low-res, normally within 48 hours of the shoot — often sooner, sometimes the same day.
- 2You choose your finalsPick your final images from the low-res previews.
- 3Invoice and paymentAround the same time I'll send your invoice, and you can go ahead and make payment.
- 4Final deliveryYour final edited images are delivered within 48 hours of your selection, sent via Smash (similar to WeTransfer).
The whole process can move quickly — in some cases it's wrapped up within 24 hours from shoot to final delivery. The 48-hour windows are simply a buffer, mainly for busy season.
If you're working to a tight deadline, just let me know. I'll always see what I can do to expedite things. The one thing I won't do is rush the photography when it isn't necessary — but I'll work to get everything to you with no unnecessary delays.
Common questions
How long does a LinkedIn headshot session take?
A studio session runs approximately 30 minutes per person. For a personal branding session with multiple looks, allow 90 minutes. A prep guide is sent before the session so no time is lost on arrival.
Do I come to your studio, or can you come to me?
Both. My studio is in Durbanville — convenient for anyone in the Northern Suburbs. For teams, I bring a full lighting setup to your office in Durbanville, Bellville, Brackenfell, Tyger Valley, or further afield. Send me your location and I will confirm.
What should I wear?
Wear what you would normally wear to your most important client meeting — not a costume version of work, just how you actually present yourself. Solid colours photograph better than busy patterns. The pre-shoot guide covers wardrobe, hair, and what to bring.
How many images will I receive?
Every session includes 2 beauty-edited finals per person as standard. You receive all usable proofs to select from — there is no cap on the number of proofs. Additional edited finals are available at R150 each.
Do you photograph whole teams, not just individuals?
Yes. I come to your office with a full setup — consistent lighting and backdrop across every person so your website and LinkedIn team page look cohesive. See the pricing page for team rates.
