Here is how I want you to think about the couple shoot: it is the only hour of your entire wedding day that you and your better half spend alone together. That is what it is for — so do not be nervous about it. Yes, we will get the landscapes, and yes, we will get the beautiful details of your dress. But what I am really after is what happens between the two of you.

Practically, I will not pose you stiffly and say cheese. I give you things to do: walk down that road together, and when you reach the end, pull her in. Tell him a secret. Make a joke. Nibble an ear if you dare. Whatever emotion comes out of that — the laugh, the blush, the tear — that is the photograph.
